A.C.M.A. Meeting

Minutes of meeting 12/09/2009

We met at Shoney's in Corbin Kentucky and opened with prayer at 7:30 pm. Minutes were not read from previous meeting due to the absence of our secretary. The financial report was read and agreed upon and accepted as true.

It was agreed that we would open a savings account under the D.B.A. American Christian Music Association at the First and Farmers Bank in Somerset, Kentucky. Our account at Cumberland Security Bank was closed out and the money put into escrow.

It was agreed upon to renew our domain www.theacma.org when it comes due in March. Plans were dicussed on how to generate funds (a cash flow) to renew the site. We will be selling scented candles to help raise money for  such purposes. If you are interested in helping us with this fund-raiser please let us know and we will be glad to work with you.

Our "Social Network" www.theacma.ning.com  and the advantages of sometime soon going premium with this site (Network).

Plans were then dicussed about moving our awards banquet up to January 2010, we have not yet found a suitable place to hold it. It was suggested maybe a Church fellowship hall somewhere in Corbin (central location) there will be performances by all groups, soloists, trios, and duets nominated for an award. Certificates will be all that is handed out. ( not trophies or plaques) A banquet will be provided. Also song of the year, Songwriter, was other catagories discussed in the unfinished business.

We moved on to "Monthly Singings" to be set up by each County and their prospective Chapter Leader. Pulaski County will be having theirs the second week of May 2010 at Eubank Park...more details to come, other Counties will be Bell, Laurel, Wayne.

Our next meeting will be held the second week of March 2010, all members (and respective group members) are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Motion was then made to d adjourn, and we dismissed with a word of prayer.
