Minutes for meeting of "The A.C.M.A." March 15th 2010

 We met at Shoney's Resteraunt in Corbin, Ky. The meeting wa called to order by Chairman Chuck Gibson and opened with prayer at 8 pm. Minutes were then read from previous meeting, said minutes were accepted by a majority vote and passed. The finacial report was then given, a motion was made to accept the financial report as true and was passed into the minutes.

 Unfinished Business was then dicussed Our Web-Site Renewal is $12,50 monthly $99.00 a year, our domain name was renewed for $45.00. The awards will be handed out May 8th at the Pulaski County Chapter Singing, everyone nominated and scheduled to sing should be there by 11am. Nominees were determined and ballots to be sent out by April 1st and must be returned by May 1st. Ballots will be cast for Group of the Year, Duet of the year, soloist of the year, Male Vocalist, and female Vocalist of the year. Other categories to added next year will be Album of the year, Songwriter, (Original) Song of the year.

 Criteria to be a voting member is to be currently active (have fees paid and up to date) a card carrying member, someone who is a spokesperson for a group, duet or trio, or any member that has signed on for half price as part of a group, duet or trio.   Other unfinished business, selling Mom & Me Candles to build up the general fund. Those forms were generally accepted by all, motion was made and seconded and passed into the minutes.

 Bulletin will be typed up and sent as an e-bulletin to all those who have an e-mail address. All others will recieve a bi-monthly paper back copy snail-mail.

 Singing Convention will be held this year in August at the Gospel Singing Barn

 County Chapter Singings will be set up by the different County Chapter Leaders and announced a.s.a.p. Pulaski is set for Saturday May 8th 12 noon, Wayne County is set for Saturday June 19th 4pm, other counties to be added are Laurel, and Bell.

 New Business: Motion was made by former president Jim Hyde to allow other members of a group, trio, duet, to join at half price, motion was seconded and accepted by all by vote and passed into minutes. 

 Motion was made by Chairman to add new board members Rex Slife, and Raeburn Moore...motion was seconded and passed by unaminous decision and passed into minutes.

 Brother Raburn Moore (Wayne County Chapter Leader) made a motion to have a list of former members of the Wayne County Chapter, and motion was accepted and agreed upon, it then passed into the minutes.

 We now have eight new members Gloria Nihart, Randy Gene, Shannon Coleman, Lou Robinson, Raeburn Moore, Diana Boggs, Rex Slife, and Matthew Sparks. Two of which are now State Chapter Leaders Randy Gene for Nebraska, and Gloria Nihart for Minnesota.

Motion was made to dismiss and seconded, we dismissed at 9:30 pm. closed with prayer by Jim Hyde.

The next meeting of the A.C.M.A is Monday the 15th of March at Shoney's in Corbin...The agenda for this meeting will be focused on completing the reorganization process. Hope to see you there.
