However because of their very hectic schedule they attended as guests and did not sing. Brother Troy helped with the ceremonial handing out of The Artist Awards this year as honorary and founding member of The A.C.M.A. and spoke as though he was very pleased with our accomplishments thus far, and commended us on our labor of love for the Lord. The American Christian Music Association was started by founding members Troy Cupp, and Ray Bryant back in 1998 and has since grown into a national effort to accomplish the purposes for which it was formed.

It was truly a wonderful time of fellowship for the many friends, family, and fans of Gospel Music and the various Artists of "The A.C.M.A." during our fan-fare (meet and greet) product tables were flowing over with love as folks were introduced to the ministries representing The A.C.M.A. the commencment (the awards ceremony began 12:15) and what a blessed time of joy and tears as the Artists recieved their prestigious awards...The Blessed Singers waliked away with this years Awards "Mixed Group Of The Year", "Songwriter Of The Year" (Freda Mullins), "Song Of The Year" "Thank God For His Love" behind them was our beloved Chairman Chuck Gibson ("The Singing Evangelist") who recieved three awards "Musician Of The Year" and Mercy Walked In "Project Of The Year" and one he didn't expect a complete suprise "A plague for "Dedication and Service" to The A.C.M.A. also named as "Male Vocalist Of The Year" in 2010 now belongs to our very own Roger Holmberg of Anchorage Alaska, as we mentioned also Family Group Of The Year" wentto "New Jerusalem Bluegrass" and Sister Diana Boggs Of N.J.B. who recieved the "Female Vocalist Award" "Soloist Of The Year" Amanda Neeley who also worked very hard campaigning for her votes.

Then it was on to a banquet catered by Wayne County Chapter Leader Sister Alene New Amanda Neeley, and the ladies of the ARC Christian Fellowship Sister Jenny and Sister Beverly with service fit for a king :-) thank you.

In attendance were some of the finest Gospel singing Artists anyone could hope for, The Reeves Family, Peggy Inks, The Blessed Singers, 4 His Praise, Charlene Worley, Sonny Hankins, Tim and Kosha Ellison, Steve Stewart, Doug Worley, Alene New, Amanda Neeley, The Singing Evangelist, and Silas Eisenback, just to name a few.

Held at the prestgious "Gospel Singing Barn" an outreach of the "Somerset Baptist Temple" and "King Of Kings Radio Network" we appreciate Brother David Carr, Sister Gwen and Congregation, for being gracious in allowing us this opportunity. Also many thanks goes out to Pulaski County Chapter Leader Brother Nathan Purcell for all his hard work and dedication to this event, for making it a memorable one for all of us. May God crown all his efforts with loving kindness and tender mercy!

During this years Singing Convention we added three new members Sister Connie Still (4 His praise who became a card carrying member, Connie and her husband Tommie Still also agreed to represent The A.C.M.A. as Madison County Chapter Leaders, and tommie accepted his appointment to sit on the Head Board, AMEN!) Silas Eisenback from Louisville Kentucky, (who also signed up as a County Chapter Leader), Brother Steve Stewart from Bronston, Ky. (who has been working behind the scenes for a couple of months, helping out with various events in several counties)

In closing I would like to congratulate the winners of the 2011 A.C.M.A. Awards, all of them worked hard getting their votes in and tallied before the deadline. Our P.O. Box stayed full for two months! God bless and prosper all that we do to bring glory to the name of Jesus!

Grand Forks native returns from Nashville to shoot video

Singer songwriter Billy Chernoff, a native of Grand Forks is visiting here from his home in Nashville, Tenn. He will be singing at St. John’s United Church on Sunday, Sept. 19, during the morning service beginning at 11 a.m. His newest recording, Circle of Grace hit Number 1 in the U.K. this last April. The song is causing a stir with DJ's in the United States, U.K., Canada and world-wide via New Christian Music (NCM) in England. Presently, Chernoff is shooting a music video here in Grand Forks, with a Vancouver production company.

Chernoff 's career has been impressive. Music has always been a big part of his life. As a youngster he sang locally in a Doukhobor choir. At age 14 he received his first instrument, a guitar, and started writing his own songs. It was while he was clowning the rodeo in John Day, Ore., that Billy entered a talent show and placed second. This encouraged and inspired him to follow his passion, country and gospel music. He headed to Toronto where he started playing in clubs. He felt the pull of Music City, USA, and moved to Nashville, Tenn. to record for RCA Victor, the top label of the era, where he joined with his hero Chet Atkins.

Billy has become a highly successful country and gospel artist in Canada, the United States and the U.K.

He has been the recipient of two "Certificates of Honour" and has recorded five albums.

We are proud of Billy, our home-grown talent and invite everybody to come and enjoy his music on Sunday, Sept. 19. You can learn all about him by visiting his website at www.billychernoff.com

“Do you write poetry in your spare time? Are you an aspiring songwriter?”
Gibson Hill Music is offering this great songwriter’s workshop to all those who want to be able to write songs (gospel songs in particular) A ten week course focusing on eight subjects of vital interest to all songwriter’s

1) Write a marketable song (a potential hit song)
2) All about copyrights
3) Demo services (getting your songs recorded)
4) Producer’s
5) Publishing and distribution
6) Song contracts
7) How to avoid the song shark
8) How to market or “plug” your song (to showcase your tunes as they say in Nashville)
All this information plus+ a complete list of names and addresses of publishers, producers and 100 radio stations from all over the country whose format is gospel music; remember it all starts with a song, so register now for this educational workshop.
E-mail us at evjuniorgibson@yahoo.com
Some songwriter’s may think their efforts end with writing the song. Or they believe that by signing a record contract, or a publishing contract, they’re home free Waiting for the royalty checks to start rolling in. Unfortunately that’s not the case. Every step along the way to a successful record takes a team effort, and the songwriter needs to be a knowledgeable member of the team. Others know that it is necessary to go on to get their song(s) recorded, published, copy written, listed, distributed, (marketed) promoted, and in the media, through, radio, television, and now over the Internet.
Like all artists, songwriters are vulnerable and sensitive. When they create, and when the creative phase of the work is over, it’s time to do the business end of the music business. Recognizing the need to change gears before entering the business cycle is one of the major ingredients in successful artistic careers. We don’t want to go out there fragile and unprotected and immediately get squashed. For more information on changing gears go to our publishers page. Gibson Hill Music

*The Wayne County Chapter Singing is now cancelled, as far as I know, I have not been able confirm it with the Wayne County Chapter Leader Raeburn Moore. If there is any changes I will post them a.s.a.p. We apologize for any miscommunication on our behalf, but our internet has been down for about a week (our phone also as a package was effected), so we have been out of touch with everbody till today (Thursday June 17th)

Tommy D.Mayo has just applied as a State Chapter Leader of the great state of Oklahoma! This brother loves gospel music and has done so much to promote it, he works with Daniel Graves of Heir-wave Internet Radio, please be in prayer for the A.C.M.A. because I can see God's hand working miracles in our midst!

We want your southern gospel tunes!

Music Submission Guidelines:

First and foremost, Heir Wave Radio will accept music from any gospel group whose music glorifies Christ Jesus.

Before submitting music to us, please understand that we cannot and will not guarantee that your music will be played just because it was sent to us. We can only play music recorded with the permission of the writer or copyright holder so if your recording is determined to not have sufficient rights information we will discard your recordings before reviewing it. It would also be good to self evaluate your music before sending to us to determine if your type of sound is played frequently on our station. All submitted music becomes the property of Heir Wave Radio and our staff will determine the eligibility of music for airplay.

We prefer,

·Original music from writers/artists

·music recorded by full or part time (traveling) artists. (Note* Church ensembles usually do not have sufficiant rights to record music)

·music from our featured artists

·music recorded in a professional recording studio with professional musicians

·music in southern gospel or country gospel formats or at least easy to listen to

·CDs or mp3 files or music from record company compilations

MUSICIAN QUALITY: In order to maintain a station that has a quality sound we must request that the musicians are of like quality sound. If one or more singers/musicians are out of key or overpowering the rest, the music is unpleasant and annoying to many.

ORCHESTRATION: We prefer orchestrated and vocals music. We will on occasion accept music by a single instrument such as a piano however the music must fit the arrangement and a high quality sound.

PRODUCTION QUALITY: We require that the production level to be very high quality. Most multi-track studio recorded and mastered recordings will fit the requirements needed. One or two track recordings are unacceptable and will most likely not be used.

MESSAGE & LYRICS: All music played on Heir Wave Radio will be Christ centered music and message.

If your music seems to fit the requirements above, we would love to have you send your music to us!

Send your music to:

Daniel Graves

900 Sennybridge Dr

Yukon, OK 73099

Again, Please understand that all submitted media becomes the property of Heir Wave Radio and will not be returned

 Your Portfolio

Hello dear members of The A.C.M.A. another service has been added to better help you as an Artist,  present yourself in a very  professional manner. To become affective in ministry you must advertise. Whether or not that goes against what you were taught growing up in Church or not, it is matter of fact in the music industry...secular or Gospel! Gibson Hill Music is ready to team with "The A.C.M.A." to present a company that provides A&R, (Artist and repertoire) artist development, record production, songwriting, artist management, label structure, independent marketing & promotion services, radio promotion, street promotion, video production & promotion, retail account management, publicity, distribution (domestic & foreign) internet distribution, etc. We also want to help develop, research & write marketing plans, marketing analysis, marketing budgets & forecasts, release schedules and set-up strategies, including pre set-up work with trade publications, radio stations, retail outlets, media outlets, fan club bases, etc.

ARTIST DEVELOPMENT AND CONSULTATION services will basically allow us to advise and consult entities in a role and fashion similar to a traditional "manager/artist" type relationship, as well as provide many more services that most "traditional" managers are not able to do. This includes overall guidance, direction, focus and structure to any creative project or entity-including shopping for deals, distribution, publishing, introducing creative collaborations, securing corporate sponsor alliances, investors, advice, critique, artistic image, styling and overall assistance to help gain exposure in the industry, etc. In the "consulting arena" we map out a solid game plan that allows us to reach and maximize career purists in a logical, well thought out, effective way, including setting career goals and objectives, artist representation, through referrals to entertainment Attorneys who can be put on a retainer in the handling of legal documents, deal memo's, outlines, deal structuring, etc.
All of this is still in the works so please be in prayer for the A.C.M.A. as we strive to be heads above the rest when it comes to doing business for KING JESUS!
However you can get started today with your groups (Soloist, Trio, Duet or Family Group) own "Personal Portfolio" It will be a resume,  and a keepsake for all your generations, a heritage to pass down to the Children, grandchildren...a legacy that you help establish some roots through what you doing for Christ Jesus right here and right now! Which includes your  business card (furnished by you, or we can do it *extra) on the front of an eloquent folder (furnished by us), a picture of your group (furnished by you) Your Biography (reviews will work just as well) an "About ME" page that is sure to peak the interest of your peers and prospective venues (whether it is a Church, a Concert Hall, or a Stadium!) it comes with a complimentary Demo (also furnished by you three songs should be sufficient) How much will it cost you?...well folks that is what is so good about being a member of "The A.C.M.A." another benefit has been added as an initiative to being an "Active Member" (along with a database that is able to store and activate a link for you that will work in any internet format, such are the links you will find on our "Available for Ministry Page") We are now introducing a Pliable "Portfolio" that will present you and your Ministry in such a way that promises to increase the number of venues you are invited to do (so you can Sing, Sing, and Sing some more)!
And the cost well, I got so carried away telling you how wonderful it is, I almost forgot to tell you "It's absolutely down to earth" $20.00 for the initial Presentation. And $1.00  per  folder, + S&H. Promotion and distribution of the portfolios will be totally left up to you, unless of course you would like for us to handle that end, which will be something that is negotiable. Anywhere else it would be up into the hundreds of dollars (just ask anyone that has been there) "Promotional, Distribution Packages" can run up into hundreds if not thousands of dollars!
We need feedback from of our membership, what are your comments , suggestions...the deal for the "Comp Disc" also the proposed "Great Outdoors get away" singing at the Henderson Settlement"
fell through and only a few members took advantage of the links thus far, of course we did not mention that if you have your own links we will be glad to add them to our "Available for Ministry page" what say ye about this idea? We will be awaiting your response. God bless and keep you is our prayer. Your servants in His service The A.C.M.A.

Music Links

Greetings all members, here is another article of interest new to the A.C.M.A. We have placed links to Our Artists Music on the "Available for Ministry Page" (stored in our web-sites data base) they can only be used here... unless you would like to purchase the link per our latest e-mail...$10.00 per link and will be active one year from the time you purchase it, and can be used in your e-mails as part of your signature (every-time you e-mail someone they will be able to listen to your music) used on any web-site, forum etc.
We do this as a way to raise money that will go into our general fund...to help in our endeavors to build this association while in the re-organization process. Thank you all for your generous support and co-operation. God bless and keep you is our prayer.

Hello A.C.M.A.
We will soon be offering a service to our members, which will help us all. We are getting a Pay-Pal account set up to accept Visa and Master card as well as paying through Pay-Pal (used exclusively by E-Bay) so it will make it easier for new members to join...so we were thinking why not allow our members sale their CDs here on the site? We can have a fully functional shopping cart added for little of nothing, however it will cost something to operate and host so we are asking anyone who wants to sell their CDs donate $1.00 per CD sold. We need some feedback on this please let us know what you think, folks this is your association, we are just working to make it a better one...how about it?
